Founding Marketer (Launch & Growth) — Denver

Denver, CO, United States of America (Hybrid)

KOTA is a  brand new and exciting sauna and wellness experience, offering a unique blend of relaxation, community, and wellbeing. We are opening our first Denver location and are looking for a Founding Marketer to join as the first Marketing team member on this side of the Atlantic.

The KOTA brand is new and unknown in the market and you will have the opportunity to create a playbook from the ground up.

You will work alongside the on-site team and the Head of Operations, with the rest of the marketing team based in Dublin, Ireland. Your role will be to adapt the overall brand and strategy to the local market and execute it to deliver measurable results.

How You’ll Work

  • Reporting to the CMO (Dublin, Ireland) who sets brand, strategy and priorities, and briefs the big moves.

  • Collaborating with the Head of Operations based in Denver, as day-to-day partner for the site, events and local execution.

  • Supported by the central team in Ireland for creative, social, video and paid strategy to deliver.

  • Hybrid work model with regular time on-site in Denver plus remote, with some overlap into Irish hours.

What you’ll own

New brand launch in Denver

  • Own the local launch end to end, from the opening campaign, to raising awareness, grand-opening moment, and the first wave of members through the door.

New business & outreach

  • Own local outreach and new business corporate and B2B accounts, group and club bookings, and the local sales pipeline. This is a core part of the role, not an afterthought.

  • Create partnerships and build relationships with Denver gyms, studios, wellness and lifestyle players, local communities,  press and creators. This is a judgment we can’t brief from Ireland; it’s yours.

Run the local marketing engine

  • Email lifecycle once live, manage and run the lifecycle day-to-day: local segmentation, list health, scheduling and campaign sends. The lifecycle is built centrally in Ireland; you own it locally from launch onward.

  • Manage the brief and local content production by local videographers and content creators in Denver, working closely with the Ireland team on the content plan and strategy.

  • Own and drive the booking-website CRO flow and conversion, identify issues, recommend improvements and implement them.

Events, Membership and Community

  • Plan a recurring rhythm of community moments, a monthly social, a seasonal ritual, a member-only night, that gives our regulars a reason to come back.

  • Own the comms wrap around every event: invites, reminders, day-of messaging, post-event follow-up, capture into the lifecycle programme. Coordinate the moving parts, supplier briefs, partner activation.

  • Treat every event as a campaign. Measure attendance, repeat-visit conversion, member sign-ups,  performance of  captured content.

  • Have an oversight of partner-led events (run club mornings, hospitality collabs, brand co-hosts), and build successful partner relationships.

  • Grow the membership.

  • Build and grow the local Denver community by cultivating relationships with members, hosts, and partners, and developing a network of advocates who drive word-of-mouth growth.

Metrics and Reporting

  • Produce monthly Founder-readable reports for an honest monthly picture of what worked, what didn’t, and what’s next.

  • Generate clean analytics with appropriate tagging so Denver’s numbers can be trusted and compared.

What you won’t own

Just as importantly, here’s what is not your job so you can spend your time where it matters:

Brand identity and creative direction. CMO and the designer own the brand. You execute against the guidelines, not redefine them.

Overall marketing strategy, content plan and priorities. CMO sets the direction and the priorities. You translate them into plans.

Core creative production. The designer makes the things; the videographer shoots them. You brief them and write the copy.

Social channels and content strategy. CMO owns the social account; the outsourced social strategist runs the rhythm. You feed it via campaign moments.

Paid campaign management. Meta and Google ads are planned and managed from Ireland by ads specialists.

About You

Entrepreneurial and comfortable with ambiguity, able to build from scratch, and to make good local calls without waiting on Dublin for every decision.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Five or more (5+) years in marketing, owning a full campaign lifecycle, end-to-end.

  • Hospitality, wellness, lifestyle, or D2C consumer brand background with good knowledge of the local market in Denver.

  • Experience running at least one launch into a new market end-to-end; a new product, a new location, or a new brand. You can walk us through what you did and what it returned.

  • Experience building local partnerships.

  • Hands-on experience using Klaviyo (or equivalent platforms, e.g.HubSpot, advanced Mailchimp, Iterable).

  • Hands-on experience briefing and managing local videographers and content creators against a content plan.

  • Ability to handle responsibilities at multiple levels at the same time, without the need to have a layer underneath to get things done.

  • Strong ability to analyze the campaign data and provide clean metrics on performance and ROI.

  • Proven track record of successfully integrating AI tools into marketing activities.

  • Availability and flexibility to work outside the standard office hours as required.

  • Ability to work onsite at Englewood location (Denver, CO) and remotely.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. KOTA does not currently sponsor employment visas.

Desired Experience

  • Experience as a first/early marketing hire in a new market or new site.

  • Existing Denver network in wellness, fitness or local media.

What Success Looks Like in Your First 90 Days

  • Denver launch plan is built, briefed and a live opening moment landed.

  • Running the Klaviyo lifecycle locally (built centrally in Ireland) sends and segmentation in your hands.

  • First Corporate (B2B) and partnership conversations are opened; a local new-business pipeline is taking shape.

  • First local press and creator/videographer content produced against the content plan.

  • Membership offering is live and is bringing in members.

  • A monthly report the founder actually enjoys reading and a CMO confident Denver is handled.

About Us

Born from a homemade trailer on the banks of an Irish river, our concept has grown into Ireland’s leading wellness community. Find out more here. Now, we’re bringing that same fire to Denver.

We believe slowing down, sweating it out, and connecting with others is essential for the soul. We aren't a club for elite athletes; we are a destination for everyday people who value the ritual of releasing stress and finding a like-minded community.

Having successfully scaled to multiple unique locations across the Atlantic, we are opening our first Denver home. As we grow our footprint in Colorado, we are looking for a team to help us build this community just as intentionally as we built our first.

Our team is held together by five values. If they sound like you, you’ll feel right at home:

Give a damn: You care deeply about what you do and the standard you do it to. If something isn’t right, you take ownership and act.

Get things done: You value action and outcomes over over-analysis. You move fast and follow through until the job is finished to a high standard.

Be a team player: You put the team ahead of ego, titles, or personal wins. You show up for the people around you and do what’s needed, even when it isn’t strictly “your job.”

No bull: You’re honest, direct, and transparent, even when the truth is a little uncomfortable. You say what you mean, with respect.

Keep your promises: You do what you say you’ll do, for guests and teammates alike. If something slips, you flag it early, own it, and fix it.
